Cyber Hygine Dashboard
Role: Lead UX/UI Designer, Creative Research, Design Systems, Usability Testing, Synthesis
Software Used: Figma, Jira
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the U.S. government’s lead agency for safeguarding critical infrastructure from cyber threats, tasked Accenture with the redesign of the Cyber Hygiene Dashboard; one of CISA’s primary tool for tracking vulnerability scanning results across federal networks. In just three months our team delivered a complete user experience overhaul that replaced an outdated interface with a streamlined product tailored to three core roles: Analyst, Administrator, and Organizational Admin. The redesign introduced clearer navigation, actionable analytics, and a new design system that now anchors the agency’s entire product suite.
Opportunity
The original dashboard made it difficult to act quickly—key findings were hidden in cluttered menus and the visuals weren’t consistent, which casued a lot of frustrated users, casuing a decline in product use and adoption. CISA asked us to create a new MVP that made insights easy to spot, cut down on mental strain, and could grow with new features over time. We were also tasked with building a design system to keep the experience consistent and scalable moving forward.
